As you may have noticed, I'd disappeared from the blogosphere for quite a while. I've shut down my self-hosted blog and moved here (at some point, I'll re-post all my old entries).
But the big news is that I have a son. He was born on February 21, and he's amazing in every way. I prefer not to put any more personally-identifying information on the web, but I'll be more than happy to give all the details to anybody who knows me well enough to ask me for them.

Blogging Class
I've been teaching a course on Blogging at CUNY Graduate Center for the past two weeks, and it's been fascinating. I was expecting my students to be focused on either technical issues or finding their voices, but they're mostly asking questions about measuring and increasing readership. More to come on this front.
